Drummer Conor Meehan’s Northbound Quartet will be performing at the Inn at Manchester on November 14 as part of Taconic’s “Jazz in the Barn” series. The group draws heavily on traditional jazz repertoire but also explores pieces across multiple genres, including compositions by jazz greats like Miles Davis and Joe Henderson, as well as arrangements of the Beatles, Paul Simon, and Dvořák. The quartet consists of Meehan on drums, Benny Kohn on piano, Andy Wrba on bass, and saxophonist Michael Zsoldos. The group’s sound is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, and their chemistry and camaraderie ensure that their sound is always fresh and inviting. The performance will take place in the Inn at Manchester’s Events Barn and will feature a cash bar starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for general admission and can be purchased on the Taconic Music website.
