Vermont Comedy Club is hosting the fourth annual Big Pond Improv Festival from September 12 to September 14. Improv teams from all over the country will be performing, with a schedule available on bigpondimprov.com. Tickets are available for individual shows or in a block. Carmen Lagala, a Vermont native, will be performing standup at the Savoy Theater in Montpelier on September 14 to celebrate the release of her debut comedy special “Sweet Batch.”

Guitarist and composer Xander Naylor has recently released “I’ve Got an Idea,” the last single from his score for the film Hayseed. The full soundtrack will be available on September 13, with a live performance by Naylor and his band at the VT Music Lab in Essex Junction that same night.
