THUS LOVE Makes a Comeback with New Video for ‘On The Floor’

The Brattleboro indie-rock band THUS LOVE has released their new single "On The Floor," accompanied by a music video. This track is the second advance single from their upcoming sophomore album, All Pleasure, and showcases the signature sound established in their debut album, Memorial, featuring tight bass lines, a driving beat, and the distinct baritone vocals of Echo Mars. The band describes the song as one of the most direct on the album, addressing themes of alternative education and complicity in oppressive systems.

The music video, directed by Augie Voss and Benni Shumlin, pays homage to the southern Vermont music scene that influences the band. The directors describe the song as a “timeless, sweaty rager” and the video reflects this energy, filled with unusual settings where the band members and their friends revel in gritty industrial areas, interacting playfully with construction equipment and junkyards. Voss and Shumlin emphasize the freedom and creativity of the shoot, likening it to "kids in a sandbox" exploring bizarre locations.

THUS LOVE’s album All Pleasure is set for release on November 1 via Captured Tracks, coinciding with a hometown show at the Stone Church in Brattleboro. Following a recent UK tour, the band is gearing up to perform again overseas, opening for the British indie-rock group the Vaccines. This culminates a busy period for THUS LOVE, as they continue to gain momentum in the indie music scene.
