ZIZIA: Ecology Sound-Art Performance. Saturday, April 8th, 8:00pm.
Zizia creates experimental music inspired by biodynamics to collaborate with nature. Amber Wolfe composes from celestial maps; Jarrod Fowler samples field recordings from terrestrial habitats. Zizia grew new genera and families. Pisaura (feat. Michael Pisaro-Liu) evolved during 2018 and Asteraceae was published by Sedimental Records in 2020. Zizia will celebrate the new cassette release of Genera by presenting multi-channel electroacoustic music in tune with local astrology and ecology within the Sanctuary of Epsilon Spires.
Earlier in the day will be a participatory workshop for All-ages. ZIZIA: All-Ages Seed-Bomb Making Workshop Saturday, April 8th, 1-3pm. Ecologist Jarrod Fowler and Educator Amber Wolfe Rounds of Zizia lead this all-ages workshop.
