The Root team invites you to celebrate 10 years of Centering Blackness! This is a multicultural space and event, we want to celebrate with our ENTIRE community! Bring old friends of all ages and introduce new.
We’ll start with sign making at The Root, followed by Racial Justice Parade around downtown Brattleboro and transition into a Party at SUSU CommUNITY Farm. So mark your calendars now and get ready for a grand celebration where we elevate BIPOC leadership and joy, connect over delicious food, dance to music that moves body and soul, all within the best company ever; Our Root Community!

Meet at The Root for Racial Justice for parade sign making and gathering
Theme Racial Justice- It will be indigenous People’s weekend and we hope to highlight in our messaging/signs themes of racial justice and lifting the indigenous people and black folks

Parade will start at The Root Social Justice Center and end at The Brattleboro Common.
Parade Route: Williams Street- Elliot Street- Main Street
Looking for key folks to help with traffic and safety for parade

Folks meet at the Brattleboro Common to carpool folks out to SuSu CommUNITY farm where the party will be!
2pm-6pm Party at SuSu CommUNITY farm.

Party is FREE- Potluck style with Food Vendors too!
Featuring I Am Vermont Too Photo Booth, Music/entertainment, Organization tabling, youth area, raffle, and more!!
