We will work on a new form, the tea spoon, and a new wood species, black cherry. We will dive further into the use of the sloyd (straight) knife and the hook knife, talk about how to get a smooth bowl finish, how to make a smaller spoon, tips on making a strong, elegant rim, explore wood grain, and more. Students will leave the class with their own cherry tea spoon. This is a great class for people who have already done some wood carving and want to dive back in!
