Put on your creative thinking cap, it’s time to build this year’s scarecrow entry! Registration forms will be available starting September 7th. Drop by the Kiwanis booth at the Franklin County Fair and grab yours.
This year’s Scarecrow Themes will include Scariest, Funniest, Prettiest, Most Interesting Use of Materials, and the Rotating Theme is Reading. Classroom displays will feature the theme of Reading in a contest separate from the general public.
All scarecrows must be installed in the park by 2:00 on Friday, October 20th in order to be considered for the competition.

The Vermont Jazz Center will present Cyrus Chestnut in a trio concert on October 14th at 7:30 PM. Called “the best pianist of his generation” by Time Magazine, Chestnut will appear with bassist Herman Burney and drummer Kelton Norris.
