Restorative Yoga & Guided Meditation

This is an extra gentle, two-hour practice entirely on the floor. In this slow-paced practice we use props – bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps – to support the body in passive stretches that are held for several minutes at a time. This conscious relaxation within a passive yoga practice alternately stimulates and relaxes the body, naturally moving it towards healing and balance. This class is appropriate for stress relief, and/or for anyone who is interested in a slow, gentle and deeply relaxing practice.
Meditation Friday, February 16th: Contemplation on Mantric Vibration – an inner practice brought forth from a conversation between Shiva and Shakti and unfolded within the text Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. When the meditation is a good fit for the practitioner it has the potential to take one beyond the space/time experience.
