Reclaiming Stolen Art

A Personal Story

Reclaiming Stolen Art: A Personal Story.  In 2023, Vermont filmmaker Andy Reichsman became the first to reclaim stolen artwork from the Croatian government. Hear Reichsman tell the story of his family’s 70-year effort to seek the rightful return of works by Cezanne, Degas, Picasso, Vlaminck, Derain, and others, which were stolen from Reichsman’s grandfather by the Nazi-aligned government in Yugoslavia during World War II.
