The humble pamphlet stitch can be used to make all sorts of books, from journals & notebooks to chapbooks & zines. It is easy to learn with endless potential. In this workshop, you will master the pamphlet stitch and explore different variations such as pockets, wrap around covers, decorative stitching, and sewing two pamphlets into one. For the final part of the workshop, you will learn how to carve easy-cut linoleum to make rubber stamps that can decorate the book covers. You will be given step-by-step instructions, and you should be able to make several different blank book models & stamps. There will be time at the end to work independently to carve & print stamps. No prior experience with book arts required.
