Justin Levinson & Josh Glass and Marty Royle at Stage 33 Live

Justin Levinson is an award-winning, multi-talented singer, songwriter and musician with a penchant for lyrical whimsy, earworm melodies, British Invasion-loving songwriting, and erudite power-pop. His catalog of songs covers territory from power-pop to country to “feel-good heartbreak”, earning steady praise from audiences and critics.

His ode to small-town life, “City With Two Streetlights” on his debut record 1175 BOYLSTON, spent eight weeks on the top 25 CMJ charts. He’s won the Billboard Song Contest, the International Acoustic Music Awards Best New Male Artist, as well as a nomination for Sirius Song Writer Discovery of the Year.

Influenced by the greats of the ’60s, Justin draws elements from his favorite artists of that era — the Beatles, The Zombies, The Beach Boys. He’s drawn comparisons to Ben Folds.

He’ll be bringing fellow musician Josh Glass with him… a formidable duo.

Marty Royle is perhaps best known as the lead singer of the popular longtime DC indie-rock stalwarts Washington Social Club, which made fun, witty power pop for more than two decades. MTV ran a feature on them back when MTV was a music channel, and Marty once somehow made Robert Smith of The Cure laugh. This will be a solo performance.
