This class will introduce students to woodturning or provide an opportunity for more experienced students to refine their skills.
Learn. We’ll start by discussing Richard Raffan’s Laws of Turning before reviewing the tools and machinery needed to turn a bowl. Students will learn several ways to safely mount turning blanks, and practice finding and riding the bevel of a turning gouge.
Make. You’ll leave with at least one small bowl, finished and ready to hold some snacks or your favorite trinkets.
2 SESSIONS: Saturday & Sunday, February 15 & 16 | 9am – 5pm | Class will break for a 1/2 hour lunch.
Cost: $425 non-members: $361.25 members (plus a $20 materials fee)
What to Bring: Bring a bag lunch, or you may visit nearby downtown Brattleboro to purchase lunch.
