Dan DeWalt Played Once: Command Performance Concert

Saturday, March 2, 7:30 pm

South Newfane Schoolhouse, 387 Dover Rd, South Newfane, VT, 05351

Join us for a special night with South Newfane’s musical talent Dan Dewalt where audience members command – sharing stories, scenarios, or topics – and Dan performs by spontaneously composing and playing a unique piece based on the audience topics.

The concert celebrates the work of his recent CD release, Played Once. “Each of the sixteen compositions took on its shape as I played,” he said. “As it sounded, the music informed my fingers and led the way through a narrative until a conclusion presented itself.”

DeWalt composes music, plays the piano and trombone. His music is a translation of the world and his interactions with it.

$15 suggested donation, but everyone is welcome regardless of ability to donate. Proceeds of the concert benefit a project to build an accessibility ramp for the South Newfane Schoolhouse.
