Charlie Chronopoulos w/ Joanne the Band

Future country music legend Charlie Chronopoulos returns to Nova w/ the devastating Boston duo Joanne the Band!

Born in Lowell, MA, and raised by an exotic dancer and a guitarist in a southern rock band, Charlie Chronopoulos started performing in lounges by age 12. His playing quickly earned him a residency at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, opening for classic rock bands like The Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, and Cheap Trick. Along the way, he caught the attention of Grammy winner Serj Tankian (System of a Down) who cast him as the lead guitarist in his Off-Broadway rock opera ‘Prometheus Bound’. After working on several Broadway productions under Tony winner Diane Paulus, he felt the need to be more present in his life, and retreated to rural NH.

Self-producing out of an 1800s mill, and driving hours in the snow to play regional lounges, he built his sound brick by brick. He began developing a reputation as a producer/multi-instrumentalist, and soon found himself producing for artists such as Jelly Roll, Joyner Lucas, Chris Webby, Token, Brady Watt, O.A.R., and SNL skits starring Chris Stapleton and Ryan Gosling. His upcoming full-length album is something he describes as “Outlaw Rumours” and features the single ‘Don’t Say a Thing’ (which ran up 33k listeners in a single day on Spotify algorithmic radio).

Boston based indie-folk duo, Joanne the Band is comprised of Anna VanValkenburgh and Jocelyn Bailey. The pair started off as coworkers and never truly left that title. They spent 2 years writing with each other leading to their debut project, Neither All or In Between. The EP deals with themes of rejection, grief, and

the acceptance of inevitable change while serving as an introduction to the band’s sound. Joanne’s hope is to serve as a New England artist collective; acting as a landing pad for their community’s creative humans, always expanding and evolving.

Doors are at 7pm and music will begin at 730! Seating is first come first served!
