Get ready to have your head examined when Brain Medicine takes the stage! Brain Medicine is an Americana string band and the brainchild of drummer turned tenor guitar player, Clinton Hoffman.

Formed in early 2017, Brain Medicine has been pleasing crowds both regionally and nationally, while perfecting their original brand of bluegrass with a punk mentality.

Hoffman’s songs are driven into full tilt by the rockabilly mandolin stylings of Will Frohlich, fast melodic banjo picking of Eric Matson, and the thunder slaps of upright bassist Kevin Cottone. The icing on the cake is Erika Babus’ snarky soprano, accenting the quick-witted lyrics and adding a layer of gin soaked saccharine.

Dylan Patrick Ward is a folk misfit from Vermont’s dirty south, known for his poignant storytelling and irreverent sense of humor.
Equal parts country-folk troubadour and indie-rock weirdo, his songs weave stories of outcasts, oddballs and people on the brink, and have earned him comparisons to great musical tragicomedians like John Prine, Randy Newman and the Mountain Goats.
