This 8-session introductory class is for anyone who has not had much (or any at all) experience working with wood or tools, or wants a refresher. Designed to empower and build community among diverse beginner woodworkers, this class is open to women, transgender, and non-binary people.
=> Learn. Through demonstrations and hands-on learning, you’ll be guided through the entire building process, from hand drafting to proficient use of all major woodworking machines. Topics covered are machine woodworking, project design and shop drawings, purchasing lumber and cut-lists, table construction, common joinery & woodworking materials.
=> Make. You’ll make a small coffee table with 4 tapered legs, half-lap & domino joinery and a round top.
