Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art that arises from ancient sword, staff, and empty-handed martial techniques. Aikido has a philosophy based on cooperation and peaceful conflict resolution.
Regular practice develops flexibility, coordination, balance, and core strength. When you are ready, you’ll learn to roll, fall, and recover safely and gracefully. The practice is cooperative, fun, and calming. The intro classes include yoga-like stretching and flexibility exercises, aikido footwork, and core Aikido techniques.
