Seth Yacovone, a Morrisville musician and skilled guitarist, is set to release his new album, SYBlings VOL 1, on April 4. This marks his eighth album and first since Welcome in 2018. Over the past few years, Yacovone collaborated with his bandmates, bassist Alex Budney and drummer Steve Hadeka, writing 160 songs from which they selected tracks for the album. The recording process took just a few days at Urian Hackney’s studio in Burlington, with mastering done by Lane Gibson. Yacovone’s music showcases his growth as a songwriter and guitarist, blending classic sounds with more layered production techniques.

In addition, Yacovone announced a second volume, SYBlings VOL 2, which is expected in late 2025. He intentionally chose to separate the two albums instead of releasing a double album due to concerns about modern listeners’ attention spans. The lead single, "Sorry Son You’re Wrong Again," released in February, features funk-infused Southern rock elements.

Additionally, Grace Potter will release her album Medicine on May 30, featuring the single "Before the Sky Falls," recorded in 2008 with T Bone Burnett but never released until now. Potter expresses excitement about sharing the record, acknowledging its unique musicality and the contributions of renowned session musicians.

Meanwhile, two Vermont artists have released new singles. Rapper rivan debuted "I GOT THAT," an energetic track merging jungle and breakbeat influenced hip-hop. On the classic bluegrass front, Forest Station will drop "Jackson County Line" on April 4, featuring vocalist Jess Leone, and will celebrate with upcoming performances. These releases underscore the vibrant local music scene in Vermont.
