ZIZIA: All-Ages Seed-Bomb Making Workshop, Saturday, April 8th, 1:00–3:00pm
The Workshop will be led by ZIZIA: Jarrod Fowler, a restoration ecologist at Pollinator Partnership, and Amber Wolfe Rounds who teaches first grade at the Hartsbrook School. Attendees will learn about the ancient no-till plant propagation practice of seed bombing and biodynamics. Participants will make and take home handmade seed bombs for native pollinators. Wearing attire for handling earth & clay is encouraged! This event will be held outdoors in the Backlot Cinema, however in the case of rain or low temperature it will be moved indoors into the Social Engagement space.
General Admission: Adult $10. Child $5.
Sliding-Scale Admission: Adult $5. +Children can attend for free with an Adult who has purchased a Sliding-Scale Ticket.
ZIZIA: Ecology Sound-Art Performance, April 8th, 8:00pm.
In the evening we will present experimental music inspired by biodynamics to collaborate with nature. Amber Wolfe Rounds composes from celestial maps; Jarrod Fowler samples field recordings from terrestrial habitats. To celebrate their new cassette release of Genera, Zizia will present multi-channel electroacoustic music in tune with local astrology and ecology within the Epsilon Spires Sanctuary.
