PUTNEY, VT – Kick off the new year with a double bill of lively swing blues and gypsy jazz as Next Stage Arts presents The Smack Dabs and Rhythm Future Quartet on Saturday, January 11 at 7:30 PM at 15 Kimball Hill, Putney, VT.

This unforgettable evening of live music features good-time swing blues from the 1930s and the dynamic gypsy jazz stylings of Rhythm Future Quartet. Whether you’re a longtime jazz fan or simply love live music, this event promises infectious rhythms, masterful solos, and an upbeat atmosphere perfect for music lovers of all ages.

🎶 The Smack Dabs – Swinging Blues from the 1930s

The Smack Dabs bring the soulful swing of the 1930s to life, performing music inspired by Tampa Red, Big Bill Broonzy, The Harlem Hamfats, and more. This timeless blend of blues and swing covers a wide emotional range—from mournful ballads to joyful dance tunes—perfect for both sitting back to enjoy or dancing along.

Named after a Django Reinhardt tune, Rhythm Future Quartet keeps the spirit of Hot Club of France alive while expanding the boundaries of gypsy jazz. Their energetic performances fuse traditional swing with contemporary rhythms and global influences, making for a fresh, dynamic experience.
