Reworded Title: “Yorkie Werewolf Captivates Terrier Lovers”

Summary of Yorkie Werewolf

Yorkie Werewolf, a campy horror-comedy film by Michael DiBiasio-Ornelas, revolves around Jenny, a conniving teenage witch turned into a bloodthirsty werewolf in the body of a Yorkshire terrier. The film humorously explores her chaotic adventures, including the destruction of shoes and a quest tied to her family’s dark heritage. The narrative unfolds as Jenny learns from her grandmother that her father is a local warlock and mafia boss, Papa Nick. In her quest, she teams up with Chris, a bumbling vampire seeking revenge against the mafia figure.

Premiering at the Made Here Film Festival, Yorkie Werewolf showcases a blend of humor and horror with absurd elements like fart jokes and low-tech special effects, reminiscent of 1970s and ’80s creature features. After its online release, theatrical screenings are scheduled in Vermont. The film has also received accolades, including Best Feature at the Horror Underground Film and Screenplay Festival in MontrΓ©al.

DiBiasio-Ornelas, facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, turned to filmmaking as a creative outlet. He drew inspiration from horror-comedy classics while filming nearly entirely with a local Vermont crew. The project, backed by a modest budget, features personal touches, with DiBiasio-Ornelas’ wife, Rebecca, playing Jenny’s mother, and their own dog, Zelda, used as the sacrificial Yorkshire terrier. The film embodies a spirit of fun and creative engagement, despite its quirky and morbid themes.
