There are activities for all ages, with pumpkin bowling, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and maple syrup samples from Bunker Farm in the Retreat Farm Market. The Calf Barn will be open for visitors to spend time with the animals, and a selfie station will be on site in Farmhouse Square for families to capture silly moments.

Family Farm Day

“Family Farm Day is a chance to enjoy fall in Vermont, and also celebrate local producers like Echo Farm and Bunker Farm. This family-friendly event is open to everyone in the community, with a free ticket option supported by our sponsors, Brattleboro Savings and Loan, M&T Bank, and The Peak Radio.” shared Executive Director Kristin Sullivan.

Retreat Farm’s animal care team will lead a goat hike to start the event. With limited space, visitors are encouraged to reserve their spots in advance.

Mach’s Woodfired Pizza and Blue Pig Ice Cream will serve handcrafted pizza and ice cream all day. From 12-1pm, Mach’s will host a build-your-own pizza station where you can craft your perfect pie with farm-fresh seasonal ingredients.

At 1:00pm, learn how Echo Farm makes its all-natural, gluten-free pudding and grab a free sample to take home. The celebration will end with a costume parade. Join the festivities by dressing in your favorite Retreat Farm apparel, costume, or farm attire.
