Fire Arts Bakery and Café gains traction in new location | Business

In Brattleboro, Vermont, the traditional American snack of coffee and doughnuts has evolved in recent years. Muffins and cupcakes have become popular options, and bakeries have expanded their offerings to include croissants and baguettes. Amy’s Bakery has provided locals with more than just croissants and has managed to survive the pandemic. Another new addition to the Brattleboro snacking scene is the Fire Arts Bakery and Café, which specializes in croissants. The bakery is located in the Fire Arts Gallery and offers a variety of treats, from plain croissants to almond, chocolate, goat cheese, and herb-filled options, as well as cinnamon twirls and other puff pastry creations. The owner, Lucy Bergamini, comes from a family of bakers and studied art before opening the bakery with her partner, Gilles Gerard. The bakery is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and also offers tea and chai by Sean McGee, as well as special made-to-order sandwiches. The bakery has been at the Brattleboro Area Farmers Market, and the last day will be this Saturday. Despite the changes in snacking trends, doughnuts still hold an important place in the American palate, and the community’s embrace of new offerings like croissants demonstrates their openness to diverse snack options.
