Printmaking with LEGOs

LEGOs aren’t just for building three-dimensional structures. They also make great surfaces for creating two-dimensional works on paper. Come try for yourself in this workshop led by BMAC Manager of Education Programs Kate Milliken at Brattleboro’s First Proof Press.
Participants will be guided through the process of designing and constructing a letterpress substrate, or printing surface, using LEGO bricks. Mix and match pieces to create unique individual designs, which will be used to make letterpress cards and posters. This hands-on medium is perfect for kids and adults alike. Participants between the ages of 6 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No prior printmaking experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.
