The 2026 Guilford Vermont Fair
The Guilford Fair returns to the Guilford Fairgrounds for two full days of local agriculture, live entertainment, animal events, exhibits, food, and family fun.
The 2026 fair begins Sunday, September 6, and continues through Monday, September 7. Highlights include the Guilford Fair Horse Show, ox and horse pulls, cattle and livestock exhibits, timber sports, the fifth annual Beat the Manure 5K, live music from local musicians, New England Center for Circus Arts demonstrations, sheep shearing, a classic car show, bingo, children’s activities, amusement rides, and the popular ice cream eating contest.
Visitors can browse produce, flowers, canned and prepared foods, handicrafts, fancywork, photography, and other community exhibits in Fitch Hall. The fair also features demonstrations and events throughout the grounds, including Farmer for a Day, the Guilford Volunteer Fire Department Muster, a chicken and sausage barbecue, and ongoing refreshments.
Saturday, September 5
Saturday’s program includes:
- 8:00 pm – 4:00 pm Fairgrounds open for Picnicking!
- 10:00 pm – 3:00 pm Fitch Hall Exhibit REGISTRATION
- 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Talent Showcase of Musicians & Singers
Sunday, September 6
Sunday’s program includes:
– Beat the Manure 5K at 8:00 am
– Fitch Hall exhibits opening at 9:00 am
– Horse Obstacle Challenge and Gymkhana at 9:00 am
– Classic Car Show from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
– Ox Pull at 10:00 am
– Farmer for a Day from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
– Bingo from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
– Live music throughout the day
– New England Center for Circus Arts demonstrations at 11:00 am, 12:15 pm, and 1:30 pm
– Ice Cream Eating Contest at noon
– Chicken and sausage barbecue at noon
– Fire Department Muster at 1:00 pm
– Children’s Bike Raffle drawing at 3:00 pm
– Amusement ride bracelets from 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Monday, September 7
Monday’s program includes:
– Guilford Fair Horse Show beginning at 8:00 am
– Fitch Hall exhibits opening at 9:00 am
– Horse Pull at 10:00 am
– Cattle Show at 10:00 am
– Timber Sports Competition at 10:00 am, with sign-ups beginning at 9:30 am
– Farmer for a Day from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
– Bingo from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
– Live music throughout the day
– New England Center for Circus Arts demonstrations at 11:00 am, 12:15 pm, and 1:30 pm
– Ice Cream Eating Contest at noon
– Chicken and sausage barbecue at noon
– Children’s Bike Raffle drawing at 3:00 pm
Sheep-shearing demonstrations will take place Sunday and Monday near the Tyler Cattle Barn, with demonstration times posted at the fair.
Admission requires a ticket:
– Adults age 15 and older: $10
– Children ages 6–14: $5
– Seniors: $5
– Children age 5 and under: Free
