THE DUDE STILL ABIDES! Dress as your favorite character and join us Friday, September 8th to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Coen Brother’s surrealist comedy cult-classic with a special screening, film-inspired drinks, a costume contest and other surprises!
Influenced by Robert Altman’s adaptation of The Long Goodbye, our hero is a perpetually stoned and out-of-work layabout dropped into the middle of a Raymond Chandler mystery. The hilariously twisted comedy-noir features iconic performances by an all-star cast including Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Julianne Moore, John Turturro, Sam Elliot and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Our celebration includes a costume contest with prizes and a cash bar serving film-inspired beverages!
CRITICAL ACCLAIM:
“Twenty-five years after its initial theatrical run, The Big Lebowski has entered the pantheon of films that can truly be called cult classics. It’s also one of the funniest and most quotable films in history. Often dissected and analyzed for spiritual meaning and consistently praised and worshipped for its mythology, Big Lebowski has been called “a parable of Global Capitalism,” as well as a “modern adaptation of Albert Camus’ The Stranger.”
