SOLARPLATE PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP WITH DAN WELDEN

Join master printer Dan Welden for a 3-day Solarplate printmaking workshop, October 24 – 26, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, at Studio 7, Mitchell-Giddings Fine Arts’ new, multi–use studio space. Previous printmaking experience is helpful but not required.

The first two days feature an introduction to Solarplate with Dan Welden, the pioneer of solarplate printmaking. On day 3, each artist will work independently to enhance or create new images while working alongside Welden, who employs his trademark style of applying a variety of media to the previously printed images.

Cost: $550 for three days, prepaid – cash, check, or credit card

Inks and limited paper will be supplied; additional paper available for sale by the sheet. Solarplates must be pre-ordered 2 weeks prior to the workshop. Although 8X10 inch plates are the norm, larger plates can be ordered… prices available at www.solarplate.com
