You won’t have to spend the evening in your car or burn a mosquito coil—but you’re more than welcome to wear pajamas. Schlock it to Me! is a series of must-see movies from the golden age of drive-in cinema and beyond—it’s also a mini-fundraiser for the Latchis Theater 4 Project. The event includes a scintillating pre-screening sights-and-soundscape by DJ Damien Gregory, film shorts and big-screen surprises, plus the free Schlock it to Me! snack table, a cash bar hosted by Sages, PLUS questionable prizes for the winners of our Intermission Challenge. The feature presentation for June follows three next-level go-go dancers on a drag-racing crime spree through the California desert—and doing it all with style! It’s the iconic Russ Meyer drive-in classic Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!—the movie that launched a thousand hairstyles and touched every aspect of popular culture, from music to fashion, and influenced filmmakers from Quentin Tarantino to Sofia Coppola. John Waters has called it his “favorite movie of all time.”
