For the last two decades, Miss Fairchild has been turning heads and moving feet across New England with their signature blend of juicy bass, slick grooves, and peaches-and-cream R&B (Dig Boston). Their live performances channel the raw energy of Prince’s legendary aftershows—seamlessly mixing original funk anthems, deep-cut covers, and explosive jams that ignite the crowd.
The band was born on a small island off the coast of Massachusetts in 2004, a brainchild of songwriting duo Travis Richard and Schuyler Dunlap, alongside producer Sammy Bananas (Fools Gold Records). What started as a home studio experiment quickly evolved into an undeniable force on the stage. With a lineup of some of New England’s most sought-after musicians—Dan Thomas (guitar), Jeff Fennell (sax), Jimmy Robitaille (drums), and Blain Crawford (bass)—Miss Fairchild delivers a live show that’s polished yet spontaneous, packed with dynamic arrangements and funk-fueled breakdowns.
