Make an Art Box Using All the Tools!
You will be guided step-by-step how to create a unique art box from raw lumber to final product using most of the woodworking tools in the shop, and learning numerous basic and clever woodworking techniques along the way. This class was designed for beginners, and also for those intermediate students who would like a refresher, or to pick up skills and techniques on equipment they’ve not had a chance to use previously.
Learn. Students will learn:
- Machines – Safe use of the table saw, thickness planer, jointer, miter saw, bandsaw, router table, drill press, and electric sanders.
- Techniques – How to dimension lumber, glue panels, resaw wood, clamping and gluing basics and tricks, and box-making techniques.
Make. Each student will go home with a unique hardwood art box of their own design.
2 Sessions: October 17 & 18 | This is a 2-day class.
Saturday & Sunday | 10am – 5pm | Class will break for a 1/2 hour lunch each day.
