Los Lorcas and Pat Byrne at Stage 33 Live

Los Lorcas and Pat Byrne share the bill at Stage 33 Live in Bellows Falls, Vermont, on April 26, 2026 in a 3:00 matinee. Tickets are $20 in advance through stage33live.com, or at the door (cash or check, no cards) as available. Advance tickets guarantee entry. Only 40 tickets will be sold. Advance sales will close at midnight the day before the show, or when 40 tickets are sold.

Los Lorcas celebrates the release of their new album, Wild Island, with a concert blurring the boundaries between spoken word and song, weaving poetry with Andalusian ballads, blues, rock, folk, reggae, hip hop, Americana, and jazz in pursuit of the cante jondo (“deep song”). Their timely and soulful compositions weave themes of love, loss, homelessness, empathy, activism, and gratitude through a filter of the American dream.

In the spirit of Federico Garcia Lorca — gifted musician, legendary poet/playwright, and ebullient performer — poets Partridge Boswell and Peter Money, along with guitarist Nat Williams, fuse poetry and music in a passionate and surprising mash-up.

Troubadouring widely in the US, Ireland, Canada, and Slovenia, Los Lorcas have performed everywhere from farmhouse kitchens to pubs, coffeehouses, schools, theaters, and festival crowds.

“An Orphic voice… absolutely gorgeous.” — Chard deNiord, Vermont Poet Laureate

“Inspiring the quietest observer to reach for each word as if they were Federico Lorca himself, meditating on song and poetry mid-stage, arms outstretched.” — Bianca Viñas

Pat Byrne shares the bill. He migrated from County Carlow to Austin, Texas to take the US by storm, with breakout performances at the 30A Festival, SXSW, Kerrville Folk Festival, and the Americana Festival. Immersed and highly respected in the Texas music scene, he melds two musical cultures known for introspective lyricism and raw, from-the-heart emotion with a voice that ranges from seductive whisper to full-bodied rock ‘n’ roll growl.

“Irish Americana, by turns rollicking and resonating, driven by his gruff growl of a voice… he’s one to keep an eye on.” — The Boston Globe

“Byrne traffics in the kind of earnest roots rock championed by artists like Shakey Graves.” — Tom Thornton, Riff Magazine

“The raspy melodic soul of Byrne’s voice recalls the emotional spells the late Austin troubadour Jimmy LaFave used to cast, though Byrne’s songwriting bears a distinctive Irish stamp. He’s more contemporary than strict traditionalists, putting him more in the league of Glen Hansard or Luka Bloom.” — Peter Blackstock, The Austin American Statesman

“When you combine the transcendent poetry of Bob Dylan with the gritty, real-world rock-n-roll storytelling Bruce Springsteen made so famous, and add a dash of the political activism embodied by Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, you’ll have Irish singer-songwriter Pat Byrne.” — Folk Alley at 30A Songwriters Festival

Stage 33 Live is a casual and intimate industrial-rustic listening room in a former factory hosting local, regional, and national performances and presentations of original material. No bar or kitchen, the stage is the mission; coffee / soda / juice / water and weird snacks available by donation. More information about the nonprofit, all-volunteer project, and this and other upcoming events, online at stage33live.com

Stage 33 Live gratefully acknowledges the help of so many individuals without whom none of this would be able to happen, and institutional support this season from The Island Corporation, WOOL-FM, Guilford Sound, and the Rockingham Arts & Museum Project to help fund improvements and maintenance, and generally smooth out a lot of the rough edges. Stage 33 Live is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all donations are deductible to the fullest extent. Volunteers run the thing from stem to stern.
