Now is the season when the veil thins, and connection between this world and the spirit / ancestral realm is strongest.

This is a time for remembering the depths of our connections with Ancestors and Spirit, for honoring our past, and transmuting it through fire to make space for renewal and new beginnings in the year to come.

We will gather on the beautiful land that Shawn stewards tucked into the hills of western Brattleboro.

We’ll begin our time together by connecting with the vitality and love of our ancestors, family lineages, and the more-than-human world through the practice of Family Constellations. We will resource through respectfully engaging the field through power of representation. There will also be opportunity for a t least a couple people to seek personal constellations for those who want to see how past (inherited) patterns could be affecting present personal challenges.

Following the constellations practice, we will enjoy a robust home-cooked meal provided by the hosts. You are welcome to bring a dish to contribute in the spirit of community.

After dinner, we will gather around the fire for the Bone Fire – a ceremony of release and renewal. Bones literally carry weight in life, and after life continue to hold energy of past life. In this practice of burning the bones, we honor what the bones carry, and release them from that holding to transmute what’s past and make space for the new. Participants are welcome to bring ‘bones’ they wish to offer to fire. Bones do not have to be literal bones, but can be anything that holds significant personal meaning: letters, mementos, clothes, jewelry, etc. The memories of love and grief associated with objects are honored and transmuted in the sacred ceremony of bone fire.

We will close with an informal circle around the fire – sharing songs and stories in honor and celebration of our ancestral heritage.

Schedule:

Noon-1: arrival and settling

1-5p: Family Constellations Workshop

5-7p: Dinner (provided, but bring a dish as you like!)

7-9p: Bone Fire Ceremony + Singing around the fire

To bring:

• Warm layers (we will be outside for most the event, weather permitting).
• Bones or other objects of personal significance (clothes, letters, mementos, jewelry, etc.) you are ready to honor and transmute by burning in a sacred fire.
• A dish to share for dinner (optional)

About the Hosts

Shawn Magee is a heart-centered being dedicated to bringing more love into this world through the power of song and sacred ceremony. He also spreads love through ‘Pinkie Toe Chai’ business and in his private practice. He is honored to open his home for this gathering.

Lucia Rose is a Zhineng Qigong teacher and regenerative systems strategist. I’m deeply passionate about working with chronic and ancestral wounds through Qigong, intergroup connection spaces, and spiritual activism. I hold ceremonies for reawakening in compassionate connection, and living radically for collective liberation. I love melting into the dirt, big cries, home fries, long sighs, and co-creating devotional celebrations in remembrance of our interbeing 💗

Christopher Collins (MSW, CMA) is a personal counselor and Family Systems Constellator. He also currently directs the Hidden Temple, a community event space in Florence Mass that celebrates the intersection of creative expression, embodied wisdom, conscious relating and non-denominational reverence. He loves the medicine of Family Constellations to invite more ease and empowerment through the felt-sense connection to Greater Forces that support us, including our ancestral lineages and more-than-human family.
