Artist Residency Concert: Trio Çava

Marlboro string players Yebin Yoo and Elena Ariza are joined by pianist Lucas Amory in this new piano trio.

Now in its second season, Marlboro Music’s artist residency program brings exceptional emerging chamber music ensembles to the Marlboro campus throughout the year for deep creative work and concert offerings. Each group is in residence for 1 to 3 weeks, enjoying concentrated time together in a retreat-like environment where they can rehearse new programming, prepare for recording projects, develop community engagement programming, and more. Every ensemble in residence includes at least one Marlboro Music artist, and each residency culminates with a free informal concert, in which the groups share the results of their work with our local community.

Our second 2025-26 residency concert features the newly-formed Trio Çava, consisting of current Marlboro Music participants Yebin Yoo, violin and Elena Ariza, cello, as well as pianist Lucas Amory. Their performance takes place on Sunday, December 14 at 2 pm in Ragle Hall, in the Serkin Center for the Arts (2582 South Rd, Marlboro, VT). Admission is free. Reservations are required and open approximately four weeks prior to the event.

Program features Robert Schumann’s Piano Trio in D Minor, Op. 63 and Maurice Ravel’s Trio in A Minor

Based in New York, the members of Trio Çava boast an unwavering commitment to chamber music, with appearances at Marlboro, the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, the Taos School of Music, Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival, and the Perlman Music Program, just to name a few. They’re honored to have worked with such mentors as Miriam Fried, Mark Steinberg, Julian Martin, Joel Krosnick, Astrid Schween, and Hae-Sun Paik. Outside of their chamber music aspirations, they’ve embarked on solo and creative endeavors, involving themselves with community engagement, pursuing vocal, improvisatory, and conducting ventures, taking home top prizes at international competitions, and being featured on programs such as From The Top and Yo-Yo Ma’s Music Art Life.
