10-Minute Play Festival
Actors Theatre Playhouse will present its annual 10-Minute Play Festival for three weekends this June.
The 10-Minute Play Festival is a theatrical potpourri, featuring seven mini-plays to excite, amuse, and move audiences. This year’s plays were selected from over three hundred submissions from playwrights nationwide and are directed by Wendy Almeida, Rob Gray, Ian Hefele, Ann Linge, Brenda Seitz, Lin Sinder, and Burt Tepfer.
Comedy in the workplace becomes a threat in “Who’s Afraid of Laughter?” by Rand Higbee. A woman learns a terrible truth about her DNA in “The Fault in Our Genes” by James McLindon. A villain struggles to think of the perfect dastardly greeting in “The Moment Before” by Samantha Eppes. An elemental force vents its frustrations on a simple human in “Death Takes a Lunch Break” by Jim Sampson. Three women face great life changes in “Stages” by Rachel Zake. A new presence in the house brings change for a mother and daughter in “Finding Help” by Marj O’Neill-Butler. And a desperate housewife hires a private investigator in “The Meadows” by Ryan Kaminski.
This year’s ensemble of actors includes Scott Aronowitz, Jonathan Benney, Emmadora Boutcher, Jim Bombicino, Rebecca Cross, Rachel Distler, Lauren Fierman, Nick Hattam, Bruce Holloway, Cassandra Holloway, Tera Murray, Isabella Potter, Scott Rodenhauser, Rose Watson, and Jen Zakrzewski.
Evening performances begin at 7:30 pm on June 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20. Matinee performances begin at 2:00 pm on June 7 and 14. Actors Theatre Playhouse is located at 21 Main Street, West Chesterfield, NH.
