Event Description
Kalbells and Erica Eso bring two adventurous takes on pop and performance to the stage at Stone Church in Brattleboro.
🌸 Kalbells
Born from Kalmia Traver’s solo debut Ten Flowers (2017), Kalbells evolved into a full-band groove collective featuring Angelica Bess (Body Language) and Sarah K Pedinotti (LIP TALK). The group has toured across the US, Canada, and the UK, taped a Tiny Desk concert, and gained fans with their cheeky lyrics, warm bedroom-pop moods, funky basslines, and tight vocal harmonies. Their 2021 album Max Heart captures that synergy in a daring, surrealist collection of songs.
“Crackly and tactile, it feels like a dazzling celebration.” — FADER
“The joie de vivre is palpable.” — NPR

🎛 Erica Eso
Led by composer/producer Weston Minissali, Erica Eso merges avant-garde composition with art-pop songwriting. Their sound blends microtonal voicings, lush synths, melismatic vocals, and tight ensemble interplay. With roots in projects like Cloud Becomes Your Hand and VaVatican, Minissali’s Erica Eso pushes pop into experimental territory while retaining an irresistible melodic pull. Albums like 129 Dreamless GMG (2018) and 192 (Hausu Mountain, 2019) showcase the project’s complexity and collaborative energy.
