Mitchell • Giddings Fine Arts in Brattleboro will be hosting an artist talk and demonstration with Dan Welden on Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. Prior to the demonstration, there will be a showing of the documentary film “Lasting Impressions” on the artist at 3:30 p.m. With nearly 60 years of experience as a printmaker, painter, author, educator, and inventor of the solarplate etching process, Welden has made a significant impact in the world of printmaking. The “Solo 100” exhibit at the gallery features Welden’s own paintings and prints, as well as a first-time showing of “masterworks,” which are collaborative impressions created with current and past masters such as Willem and Elaine de Kooning, Kiki Smith, Eric Fischl, and Dan Flavin. The exhibit is currently on display and will run through Jan. 14.
