Taconic Music will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving concert at the Manchester Community Library on November 25th. The concert will feature performances by Joana Genova, Ariel Rudiakov, Deborah Buck, and Hannah Holman, including Beethoven’s String Quartet in D Major, Op. 18 no. 3 and Allen Shawn’s Sleepless Night. Deborah Buck and Joana Genova are accomplished violinists, while Ariel Rudiakov is a talented violist and conductor, and Hannah Holman is a skilled cellist. The D Major quartet by Beethoven is known for its bright, lyrical, and humorous mood with a touch of poignancy, while Shawn’s Sleepless Night is a single movement string quartet. The piece was composed in 1996 and premiered in 2000 in Manchester.
This event is part of Taconic Music’s year-round offerings, which include chamber music concerts and workshops. Additionally, the organization hosts a summer chamber music festival.
