Good morning everybody, we’re cold this morning, down into the teens in most places, with a few single digits in SVT and a few low 20s down into northern CT.
We also have some clouds around, especially western areas where a few flurries have been falling in Litchfield County, CT, the southern Taconics, and possibly into southernmost Berkshire County.
We’ll see some partial sunshine today, but clouds will be present at times too.
It’ll be cold with highs in the 25-30 degree range, except for SVT which will likely see some low 20s today.
As flow becomes more northerly, flurries will dissipate away from the region, and as high pressure moves in from the west, skies will clear up by late afternoon and tonight with lows crashing into the single digits.
For Friday, high pressure pushes closer and builds through the region to our south. This will produce sunny skies, calm winds and highs in the mid 20s to low 30s with lows in the teens.
GREAT WEEKEND COMING UP!
By Saturday, high pressure is to our south and pushing off the southeast coast which will bring milder temps.
Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 30s to low 40s on Saturday, and lows in the mid 20s Saturday night.
By Sunday, we’re firmly in the low to mid 40s with mostly sunny skies, and lows in the 20s.
Monday is even milder with temps in the mid to upper 40s with clouds building in late.
We have to watch two storm systems for Monday night into Tuesday, and Wednesday night into Thursday.
The first looks rainy, the second could be wintry. We do know that cold air will advecting in to the region by late next week, so cold air will be around. We’ll have to see if we get timing of the storm and cold air and storm track to produce a winter storm, or not. Lots of details to work out.
