New England Youth Theatre proudly presents Peter Pan and Wendy, adapted by Doug Rand and directed by Doran Hamm, to be performed at 7 pm on October 26, 27 and November 2 and 3, and at 2 pm on October 27 and November 3 at NEYT, 100 Flat Street, in Brattleboro.
NEYT's Junior Company invites audiences to suspend their beliefs about what is possible and fly out Wendy’s window and into Peter Pan’s world of pirates, fairies, mischievous children, and endless make-believe! This fun-filled production of the beloved tale of Peter Pan is told in a fresh new way, using styles reminiscent of Greek and Kabuki Theater mashed up with Peter and the Starcatcher.
Featuring shadow puppets, lots of physical comedy, and kitchen utensil swordplay, the story is told by a chorus of young actors who create the world of Peter Pan using light and shadow, found objects, and plenty of stage magic.
Families won't want to miss this classic tale of youth and lost innocence!
