Phineas Choukas, also known as phin, is a young songwriter and producer who discovered his passion for music at a young age. He struggled with self-doubt and anxiety about songwriting but received advice from a college professor to just start writing music and not overthink it. Phin’s musical style has evolved from beat-making and rap-adjacent pop to more melodically inclined indie folk and pop. His debut single “you would never fall in love with me” reflects a shift in his musical style and his journey towards self-love and acceptance. Phin credits his friends Hans Williams and Noah Kahan for influencing his songwriting process and helping him to find his own voice as an artist. He has more singles planned for this year and is moving to New Orleans to be part of the vibrant music scene there. Overall, phin is excited for the future and hopes to continue combining his talents as a producer with his newfound passion for songwriting.
