Local indie-pop singer-songwriter Justin Levinson has taken a new direction by composing classical music for piano, releasing a new single titled “Go and Catch That Dream” in collaboration with Ben Patton and performed by pianist Tom Cleary. Meanwhile, New York City-based musician and composer Adam Tendler, known for his contemporary classical music, will be performing in Vermont with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra in May. He will be playing a brand-new piano concerto by Nico Muhly at the Flynn in Burlington and will also have intimate performances at the Phoenix in Waterbury.
In addition, the Jesse Taylor Band has released a new single titled “Thinking of You,” which showcases a more punk-leaning sound compared to their previous work. The song, produced by Urian Hackney, celebrates the excitement of a new relationship with snarling guitars and energetic drums. The band’s anthemic vocals and garage-rock-meets-power-pop style shine through in this track.
