Summer in Vermont means festivals, including POP Montréal, a five-day indie fest featuring a lineup of music, film, and art. The festival, taking place from September 25 to 29, will include performances by Stars, The Dears, and more. Other upcoming music releases from Vermont artists include Burlington indie-rock outfit Robber Robber’s debut album, Ryan Sweezey’s new single “Bartender,” and the new project Miles of Fire from former hardcore band Drowningman members. Folk-rock musician Andrew Connelly debuted a solo track, and a celebration of life service for local sax legend Joe Moore will be held on May 24, launching the Joseph Moore Jr. Music for Youth Scholarship Fund benefitting students at C.P. Smith Elementary School. Moore will also be honored during the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. Overall, the Vermont music scene is buzzing with new releases and upcoming events to enjoy this summer.
