The Vermont music scene is thriving with new releases from local artists. Singer-songwriter Phil Cohen is back with a high-energy power pop single called “Pinchgut Town.” Indie-pop band Kitbash explores multiple genres in their new single “Sprout,” combining mellow grooves with catchy vocals and synths. Upper Valley artist Phineas Choukas pays tribute to his family dog in his latest folk ballad, “good dog karma.” In a nod to the ’90s Burlington music scene, Construction Joe, a band from that era, is reuniting for a special show alongside Barbacoa and the Maple Run Band.
Live music highlights included a musical comedy showcase called G.L.A.M. at Off Center for the Dramatic Arts in Burlington. The event featured solo sets, music videos, and improv jingles based on readings from the Personals section of Seven Days. Nico Suave delivered an impressive Alanis Morissette impersonation during the show.
Overall, the Vermont music scene is vibrant and diverse, with artists showcasing a variety of genres and influences in their work. Fans of local music have plenty of opportunities to catch live shows and discover new talent in the area.
