New England Youth Theatre’s Theatre Adventure proudly presents Putting on Our Finery: A Fundraising Fashion Show With Distinction which will take place on Friday, November 9 at 7 pm at the West Village Meeting House, 29 South Street, West Brattleboro.
Radiant style and a passion for performance will be on display during this annual fundraising fashion show. The actors will command the stage with great flair. Original songs written for the troupe by Rich Nethercott will inspire toe-tapping, dancing and singing. Rich will be joined by Cathy Martin, an accomplished pianist and singer; together with the Troupe, eight songs will be debuted from the forthcoming spring production, Raising Our Voices Together, a musical that celebrates relationships and engagement with the community.
The evening’s festivities will include fabulous fashions created by Lori Angell, the master costumier of NEYTs Theatre Adventure, with fashion commentary by Stasia Savasuk of Stasia’s Style School. Beautiful hairstyles will be created for the actors by Lisa Shippee, owner of Scissor Masters.
Intermission will include the famous ‘Theatre Adventure Pie Auction’, hosted by WKVT’s radio personality “Fish”, auctioneer extraordinaire. Also, a dazzling array of delectable desserts will be available in the foyer, all included with the price of admission!
Putting On Our Finery offers a unique experience. This fashionable and lively event supports our region’s only inclusive theater program, now celebrating its fifteenth year. Audience members are encouraged to attend the evening’s festivities in their own splashy finery.
Tickets are $15, $25, $50 – your choice in support of inclusive Theater Adventure Program. The ticket price includes admission and a fine array of desserts. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.neyt.org, or at the NEYT Box Office in person, or by phone at (802)-246-6398, from 12-5pm on Wednesdays.
