Born and raised Jamaican, Chef Jewelz began cooking at the young age of nine. Watching her grandmother and learning by her side, Jewelz fell in love with cooking and began to master the art of traditional Jamaican Food.
She migrated to the United States of America nearly ten years ago and settled in our beautiful state of Vermont, bringing with her proudly her roots and traditions.
Food has long been a traditional way to bring folks together in shared culture, connection and ritual. Celebrating our cultures and traditions through food is an ancestral practice of healing.
At this AFINITY SPACE workshop Chef Jewelz will share some of the recipes that she learned by her Grandmother’s side. She will teach attendees how to make traditional Jamaican dishes and everyone will be able to take a jar of Jerk sauce home.
Space is limited! RSVP REQUIRED
