Wendy and Tim moved to Brattleboro this past April from the San Francisco Bay Area. The smoke from California wildfires finally convinced them to leave their beloved home, and Vermont called to them with its fabulous combination of rain, snow, and sun. Wendy is a psychotherapist, and Tim recently retired from a career working to improve people’s experience with healthcare. They’re both serious amateur musicians — they harmonize and play acoustic music, and they recently joined the new early music Brattleboro Camerata choir at the Brattleboro Music Center. Life is change, and that’s a really good thing, but this move was a big change for Wendy and Tim. They left a lot behind, and, like other newcomers, it will take quite a while to settle into their new home. They’re really looking forward to meeting you!
Emily and Matthew moved to Putney, Vermont in early October from New Orleans, LA. They are both originally from New England, and after many years away decided to move back to be closer to family. Matthew works at a solar company in Brattleboro, and Emily works at a museum in Massachusetts. They have a big, goofy brindle dog named Bean, and a little, friendly tuxedo cat named Costello. They love hiking, swimming, camping, and spending time outdoors, and can’t wait to explore South Eastern Vermont more!
