New Beginnings, Auspicious Blessings
Sunday, January 13th, 4-5:15pm

Experience the power of group chant. BEGINNERS WELCOME!

Lord Ganesha, who is also known by various other names such as Ganapati, Vinayaka or Vighneswara, is the God who helps us overcome obstacles in life. He is the son of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. He is the elephant faced God who is worshipped as the very first deity before any new beginnings. The energy of Ganesha gives us the courage and confidence needed to enter upon and carry through any undertakings in the world.

The ancient sound of mantra is a meditative practice of sound, vibration and healing. The Sanskrit language has a direct effect on our energetic and physical bodies, leading us to a state of peace, personal transformation and complete well-being.

The afternoon consists of a full explanation of the meaning and application of various Ganesha mantras, call and response chant to learn the words and cadence, then facilitation in group chant.

We’ll be creating an altar with sacred objects. Feel free to bring flowers and/or fruit as an offering and any personal items you would like blessed.

*Facilitated by Rajeshwari Gretchen Carmel, senior teacher in the lineage of Namadeva Acharya (Thomas Ashley-Farrand).

No experience necessary!
Suggested Financial Offering, $18-25.

These special evenings include Sanskrit mantra chanting and meditation with a focus on spiritual illumination, healing of ourselves and loved ones and peace for our planet.
