Event Details

w/ Amber Arnold, Chrisoula Marangoudakis, & Jason Abram

Join Amber, Chrisoula, and Jason for a nourishing sound bath infused with Thai bodywork. Participants will be invited to go deeply into a state of meditative bliss, peace, and tranquility while releasing blockages and restoring the body to harmony and balance.

This evening will include a brief welcoming circle and herbal tea blend, a vibrational toning body tune-up, and a guided meditative sound bath with nourishing bodywork and energy center rebalancing. Be fully immersed in a vibrational container filled with safety, love, light, and spirit guided energy!

*You will have the option of receiving singing bowls (vibration) and bodywork on your physical body. If you would prefer to be part of the sound bath without experiencing physical touch, special cards will be available to support everyone in stating their needs as we strive to be an inclusive, trauma-informed space.

What is a Sound Bath?
Sound baths use frequency and entrainment through sound to quickly guide your body from a beta state (waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), with the majority of people being able to reach theta (meditative states), and even delta (deep sleep wave state, where internal healing occurs). Some of the many benefits of a sound bath include: re-regulating the nervous system; bringing the body into balance and harmony; and stress and anxiety relief. During a sound bath, participants lie comfortably on the floor supported by bolsters, blankets, and mats while experiencing guided meditation and the vibrational sounds of Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, and tuning forks.

What is Thai Bodywork?
Thai Bodywork combines passive stretching and movement of the joints with touch techniques along the energy meridians. Some of the effects of Thai Bodywork include greater flexibility, increased flow of energy, and deep relaxation. Thai Bodywork allows participants to achieve deep therapeutic healing benefits without harsh physical force by using efficient movement, conscious touch, breathing, and rhythm. Practitioners generally use their whole body to move and rock the client into various positions, apply rhythmic touch, and some cross-fiber stroking of muscle and tendons. You do not have to be flexible to enjoy Thai bodywork, and it does not have to hurt. It can be tailored to your specific needs.
