Christopher Lamb, a recent Marlboro College alum and contributor to the Brattleboro Words Trail, will discuss his recent fieldwork in Idaho, the theory and practice of deep mapping it shares with the Brattleboro Words Trail, and its potential contributions to environmental humanities scholarship in a talk entitled Storying Extinction: Responding to the Loss of North Idaho’s Mountain Caribou. This talk will also be moderated by William Edelglass, a local professor and philosophy/environmental studies scholar who co-founded the Brattleboro Words Trail. The event will take place on Thursday, September 9th, 2021, 7:00 PM at 118 Elliot (118 Elliot Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301), and will be a hybrid live and Zoom event.
In-person attendance will be limited to 25 people, but virtual attendance is unlimited. All attendees must preregister on Eventbrite.
