Event Details

Carolyn Finney, the author of Black Faces, White Spaces: Reimagining the Relationship of African Americans to the Outdoors, joins The Nature Museum for an online presentation and discussion.

Finney is a storyteller, author, cultural geographer, and former member of the U.S. National Parks Advisory Board. The aim of her work is to develop greater cultural competency within environmental organizations and institutions, challenge media outlets on their representation of difference, and increase awareness of how privilege shapes who gets to speak to environmental issues and determine policy and action.

We are thrilled to be hosting this presentation and discussion through Zoom as a sliding scale event, with tickets beginning at $5.
